Technique of the week: Crumpled paper

The technique highlighted in this card is crumpled paper.  Before adhering the background paper to the card body, I crumpled it and then smoothed it.  This technique adds dimension to this card and makes the paper seem more like a birch tree.  This technique is also great on shabby chic projects.
